Junior Hardware Embedded Engineer
📍 Cairo, Egypt
We are seeking a Junior Hardware Embedded Engineer to join our Cairo-based product design team. You will be responsible for supporting the complete lifecycle of hardware development, from drafting circuit schematics to PCB routing, physical board bring-up, and laboratory testing. You will work directly with our senior engineers and have access to our fully equipped local prototyping lab, where you'll gain hands-on experience with multi-layer high-integrity designs, analog power stages, and signal-integrity verification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in schematic design and layout of multi-layer PCBs using KiCad, focusing on signal routing, ground planes, and decoupling.
- Build and assemble prototype circuit boards using fine-pitch soldering, SMD components, and thermal-reflow techniques in our prototyping lab.
- Conduct laboratory validation and bring-up tests using digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Document hardware verification results, test point voltages, power rail noise levels, and schematic revisions.
- Collaborate with the software and mechanical teams to ensure correct pinouts, mechanical fit, and physical thermal management of enclosures.
- Source electronic components, create and update BOMs (Bills of Materials), and coordinate with fabrication partners for board runs.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Fundamental understanding of electronic circuits (op-amps, MOSFETs, regulators, ADCs/DACs, and passive filter networks).
- Prior hands-on experience with EDA design tools (KiCad is highly preferred, Altium/Eagle also acceptable).
- Experience with laboratory measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, and multimeters).
- Basic soldering skills (SMD packages like 0805, 0603, and SOIC).
- Eagerness to learn, strong troubleshooting logic, and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
Junior Embedded Software Engineer
📍 Cairo, Egypt
We are looking for a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Cairo. You will assist in the design, development, and testing of firmware and driver software for our microcontroller-based boards, industrial control systems, and robotic systems. Working closely with our senior embedded developers, you will write code, troubleshoot software bugs, and perform board bring-up validation in our engineering lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in writing, testing, and debugging low-level firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, STM32, ESP32).
- Develop and integrate basic peripheral drivers (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO) and communication protocols.
- Participate in initial board bring-up and code validation using logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, and debuggers (J-Link, GDB).
- Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews to align with engineering standards.
- Maintain build scripts and contribute to automated test setups (unit testing).
- Work with the hardware team to verify pinouts, schematic details, and register mappings.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechatronics.
- Solid understanding of C/C++ programming languages and low-level software concepts (pointers, memory mapping, registers).
- Basic familiarity with microcontroller architectures (registers, interrupts, timers).
- Hands-on experience with embedded development tools and IDEs (STM32CubeIDE, VS Code, Keil, or PlatformIO).
- Familiarity with basic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope) and debug interfaces (SWD/JTAG).
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills, eager to learn, and detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
Junior Mechanical Designer (FreeCAD)
📍 Cairo, Egypt
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer to focus on the mechanical modeling, housing, and structural integration of electronics and robotics. You will utilize FreeCAD to design custom enclosures, heat-dissipating brackets, mechanical linkages, and structural assemblies that protect and house our electronic boards. You will work closely with hardware engineers to ensure precise component placement, thermal venting, and physical connector alignment, while optimizing layouts for modern rapid prototyping and manufacturing methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design custom protective enclosures, brackets, and mounting plates for electronic PCBs using FreeCAD.
- Model linkages, gear systems, motor mounts, and structural frames for robotic assemblies and automated units.
- Verify mechanical clearances, connector accessibility, and mounting tolerances using 3D assemblies and interference checks.
- Prepare files and iterate designs for various manufacturing processes including FDM/SLA 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, and CNC machining.
- Integrate thermal simulation feedback to design venting paths, heatsink mountings, and passive cooling layouts.
- Manage and document product revisions, bills of materials (BOM) for mechanical parts, and create assembly manuals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent practical design portfolio.
- High proficiency in parametric 3D modeling using FreeCAD (our primary mechanical tool).
- Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) rules for 3D printing, sheet metal, and machined components.
- Familiarity with dimensional tolerance stack-up analysis and standard hardware fasteners.
- Exposure to thermal cooling principles and environmental sealing (IP ratings for enclosures).
- Strong spatial reasoning, creativity, and a hands-on approach to building physical models and testing them.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable collaborating across disciplines with electronics and software engineers.
